At Friends House, we believe in doing business responsibly and intend to make a positive impact in our community.

We have a series of commitments and policies in place to ensure Friends House is a great place to meet, thrive, and make a change.

Procurement

We ensure that all the goods and services we purchase are sourced ethically, with no exploitation or abuse of individuals involved (see our Modern Slavery Satement).

We’re also committed to minimising our environmental impact.

Treating staff fairly

We’re a Living Wage Employer and pay all our staff above the London Living Wage of £14.80 per hour (2026).

We also believe in pay equity: there is a 1:4 ratio between the highest and lowest paid members of our team and we release our gender pay gap statistics every year.

Helping Others

We believe it’s important to make an impact beyond the walls of our venue.

With the help of the Toilet Twinning charity, we have twinned all the toilets in our venue. This helps fund projects in communities, such as building basic toilets or accessing clean water.

Thomas Franks Foundation

Working In Partnership

We also partner with suppliers who share our values and are committed to the greater good. Thomas Franks, our catering partner, has set up their foundation, which helps those in need.
