The Seed café serves a selection of delicious vegetarian and vegan food and drinks, with gluten-free options available. Cakes, pastries, salads, sandwiches, snacks, ethical sodas and juices are all available for you to take-away or eat in our bright and cosy space. At lunch time, try our specials of the day prepared by our on-site chef, including our soup of the day, always vegan and gluten-free.

Friends House Library’s collection includes books, journals, manuscripts and visual resources, as well as the archives of the central organisation of Quakers in Britain. It is open to all and free to use. We aim to collect and preserve a record of Quaker activity, increase access to information about the Society of Friends, and encourage study in Quaker and related activities.

What are Friends House’s opening hours?
Friends House is open Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm. The Seed Café and Quaker Bookshop are open Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 4.30 pm. Please note that the building is closed on weekends and public holidays unless there is a booked event.
Is there an area I can work at Friends House in between meetings?
Yes, you’re welcome to work or relax in the Seed Café between meetings. The café offers free Wi-Fi and a calm atmosphere, perfect for working remotely in central London.
